Apart from this, I will also tell you the magical picture settings for Sony X90J, which will make its colours vibrant like Sony X90K. In both, X90K and X90J TVs, the colours are more vibrant than that on any QLED TV.

In X90K and X90J, in very dark scenes, like firecrackers bursting in a jet black sky, you might observe some blooming around them.

Blooming is a common issue on bright LED TVs, however, if you make some necessary settings on the TV you will not face this issue.

To achieve the best settings for these TVs we have toiled hard for many days, if you find them helpful do let us know in the comment section.

Keeping X90J next to X90K TV, and, playing with the settings, we were able to bring the colours of X90J at par with X90K.

Now, the colours of X90K, too, have become much more vibrant.

I have compared both TVs by keeping X90J on the same picture settings.

As these are very big TVs, it was not possible to keep them side by side, so I have kept them together on an upper & lower level.

And it is also true that many times, the camera is unable to show you what I can see through my naked eyes.

My opinion is based on minute observations that can skip your eyes.

My opinion is based on minute observations that can skip your eyes.

Though there is hardly any difference in the specifications of X90K and X90J, there is definitely some visible difference in their picture quality.

On X90K TV, there are 59 dimming zones, whereas X90J comes with only 24 zones, and, this might be the reason for the little difference in their performance.

The brightness, contrast, and, colour reproduction of the X90K TV are better than the X90J TV.

However, as I already carried out some vital settings on my X90J TV, you might not be able to note the difference between them, which I observed before carrying out these settings.

But still, differences are visible, which you can see yourselves.

These are the best settings for Sony X90J, you can note them down his video signal setting plays an important role in tuning the colours of this TV.

By default this setting is on Auto, but, after setting it on BT.2020 the colours get enhanced to a large extent.

Those who know colour grading must be aware of Teal & Orange.

After you set your TV on BT.2020, a sort of Teal and Orange filter gets applied to the pictures.

This filter is used in most Hollywood movies and is my favourite.

In the X90K TV, this colour setting comes out of the box as default despite its video signal set on the Auto Mode.

If you like light colours, then, continue with the auto mode only, because, after applying BT.2020 the colours start popping out.

After setting the video signal to BT.2020, if you find the colours much saturated, then go to the colour setting and reduce the value from 60, in order to get the colours of your liking.

I would recommend effecting these changes in the Custom and Vivid Modes only.

Leave the standard, cinema, IMAX enhanced and other Modes on their default settings.

You can keep the Vivid and Custom Modes a bit different in their saturation level and switch between the modes according to the requirement of the content.

These are the settings for individual colours, you can note them down, too.

You can note down these settings for the Dolby Vision Bright Mode as they are better than the default settings.

Remember, while watching different applications and contents, different modes get switched over, so you need to apply these settings accordingly.

These are the best settings for X90K.

As X90k already comes with vivid colours, you can keep the video signal in its auto mode.

If you find any blooming on your TV, then you can switch off the Peak Luminance or keep it low.
