Oppo has launched in the market its new flagship models of the Reno series, Reno8 and Reno 8 Pro. Today, I have brought for you a detailed review of the Reno8 5G smartphone. So now, let's start this video, with the unboxing of this phone.

Inside the box, apart from the phone, there is an 80 Watts fast charger, a type C charging cable, a TPU transparent back cover, a sim ejecting tool, a quick start guide, and a safety guide.

Look-wise the phone is stunningly good. This phone is available in two colours shimmer Black and the other one is shimmer Gold.

The phone is ultra-slim and pretty lightweight, too, whose thickness is only 7.6 mm and weight of 182 gms. For screen protection, there is Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The screen size is 6.43 inches and you get an AMOLED FHD display on it. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner.Both fingerprint scanner and face unlock features, function with blazing fast speed.

For the fingerprint lock, there are a number of animation options on this phone. The peak brightness of the screen is 800 Nits and its refresh rate is 90 Hz. It comes with a touch sampling rate of 180 Hz.

On three sides, the bezels of the phone are ultra-slim, however, on the bottom, there is a thick chin, If the bezel on the lower side was also ultra-slim,it would have enhanced the looks of this phone further..

On the left side are the volume rockers, whereas, the power button is located on the right side, and, underneath the phone, there is a microphone, the speaker grille, charging port, and a SIM card tray.

This phone has an option for a dual Nano sim card, however, there is no dedicated memory card slot.

Though the back is constructed out of plastic, it imparts an impression of being a metallic Aluminium body.

The streamlined unibody of this phone looks stunningly beautiful. The back bears a mat finish, which does not attract fingerprints at all.

The camera module has not been designed separately, on the contrary, the cameras are placed within a raised rectangular portion of this unibody.

This nil the chances of dust accumulation along the edges of the camera module. This phone comes with a triple camera setup. Two cameras a pretty large and there is a dual-flash LED, Its construction also gives a metallic aluminum feel.

When light falls on the back of this phone, the shimmer gold phone reflects different color shades, which make this phone look all the more gorgeous.

If we talk about the display of this phone, it is one of the best in its category. Whether it be brightness or colour reproduction, both, are impressive on this phone. You get to see vivid and bright colours and the display is pretty sharp.

The viewing angle of this screen is also pretty good. Even when you watch the screen from the sides, the colours do not get washed out. You also get the option to change the colour settings of the screen. You can choose between the vivid and natural modes.

Apart from this, there is also an option to set the screen temperature. Videos look very impressive on this smartphone.

Honestly, the display of this phone is stunningly good. The Blacks are pretty deep, on which colours pop out and make the images look realistic. The colour accuracy of this phone is also very good.If we talk about the sound of this smartphone, though, it is not very loud, it is quality rich.

While listening to music you can differentiate the sound of each and every musical instrument. If we talk about the specifications and features of this phone, it comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Additionally, you can virtually expand its RAM up to 5GB. The phone comes with the 6nm MediaTek Octacore Dimensity 1300 processor, which is a high-end system on a chip that comes with an integrated 5G modem and Wi-Fi 6 modem, apart from 9 core ARM Mali G77 MC9 GPU.

This chip is considered power-efficient. You get 4K HDR support on this phone, apart from Bluetooth v5.3. The user interface of this phone is ColorOS 12.1, which is based on Android 12.

The phone has Widevine L1 support because of which you can watch Netflix and Amazon Prime content in high quality. This phone supports 12 bands of 5G.

Now coming to the haptic feedback of this phone, it is pretty good, which makes it enjoyable to use this phone. This phone comes with an Air gesture feature.

Without even touching the phone, you can scroll through different apps, answer phone calls and play videos.

On this phone, you get 14 billion combinations, through which, you can create your own emojis and send them across in personal messages.

This phone also has a notification privacy feature, which restricts any other person from reading the content of your notification.

This phone comes with umpteen good features, when you will explore them, you will really like this phone.

Coming to the camera; The rear primary camera of this phone is 50MP. Apart from that, there is an 8MP ultra-wide cam and a 2MP macro camera. The rear camera comes with a Sony IMX766 sensor. The selfie camera is placed on the left upper side of the screen.

The selfie camera is 32MP and it comes with a Sony IMX709 sensor. The selfie camera can click some really good selfies. Even the dark room performance of this camera is pretty good.

The beauty selfie settings work miraculously to click some great selfies for our social media uploads. You can also shoot HDR videos from the front camera.

The picture quality of the rare camera is very good. The pictures turn out sharp and clear.

Even the low-light performance of this smartphone is pretty good. This is a video sample shot through the rear cam of this phone. You can judge the camera performance of this phone through these samples. You get good stability on this phone while shooting videos.

There are multiple modes on this smartphone for shooting videos, apart from, ultra night video, ultra HDR video, night portrait, hyper-lapse, slow motion, and bokeh portrait Mode.

The phone has a 4,500 mAh battery, which comes along with an 80 Watts fast charger, which charges the phone up to 50% in just 11 minutes.

During normal usage, the battery is capable of giving the juice for one-and-a-half-day, whereas, on heavy usage, it lasts for a day.

The battery comes with a health engine, which extends the life of the battery. There is five-layer charging protection on the battery, which keeps your phone safe during charging.

The call quality of the phone is pretty good. Voices can be heard crystal clear on both sides, and, there is no problem of signal drop Coming to the performance of this phone; the Antutu benchmark of this Oppo phone is 602588, which is fairly good.

Browsing on this phone is fluid. Even after multitasking on this phone for long hours, it did not hang, nor, did I observe any lag.

The phone comes with some pre-installed bloatware, but you have the option to uninstall them. On the gaming front, this phone gives you a lag-free smooth gaming experience. The touch is pretty responsive and there is no delay or lag whatsoever, you can comfortably enjoy gaming on it.

Now, regarding any heating issues; this phone comes with a superconductive VC liquid cooling system, which keeps the phone cool even during long gaming sessions.

Even after multitasking and playing games continuously for 4 hours, I did not observe any unusual heating issue.

It is not that the phone remained cool during this period, it did warm up, but the heating was within normal limits.

Overall, be it display, design, or camera performance, this phone outstands in every aspect.

The only lacuna I found on this phone was that a phone which had an option to shoot 4K videos should have the option of bigger storage.

Storage of 128 GB is less for this phone, at least, the company should have provided a hybrid card slot to accommodate a memory card, through which its storage could have been expanded.
